Prices: open, fixed, without a timesheet#

No hourly billing. The price is fixed before we start — in the written scope sheet, with acceptance criteria. What that means for you: you budget beforehand, not afterwards.

What every price includes#

Clickable prototype (€1,200): discovery call, wireframes (≤ 12 screens), clickable prototype, recorded walkthrough, one revision round, written recommendation. Not included: software, backend, real data.

Prototype sprint (€4,800): scope sheet with exclusion list, Flutter app or Jaspr web application, Serverpod backend with schema and API docs, authentication with roles, deployment with TLS/backups/monitoring, repository, README, dev docs, CI, handover workshop (2 h), 30 days of bug fixing, one design feedback round per screen. Not included: anything not on the scope sheet, store submissions, support beyond 30 days, third-party licences, production guarantee.

Sprint Plus (€9,600): the same method across eight weeks — two workflows, one admin role, one data migration, one release. The advantage over two sprints: one scoping, one architecture, one handover.

Production development (fixed price per scope): a production application out of the sprint or directly from a scoping workshop. Fixed price from a written scope, weekly delivery, written acceptance, handover.

Build-out (€480/day): blocks of 5–10 days after a sprint, agreed change backlog, monthly summary. Only after a sprint — without one it would be unpaid specification work.

AI module (€1,200–2,400): one concrete process, data-flow documentation, fallback path, accuracy statement, AI Act note.

What changes the price#

Only the written change order: if you want to change something during the project, the order states what changes, what it costs and what moves. There are no discounts — the only exceptions are a smaller scope at list price and a documented entry price of at most −10%, once per client.

Payment plan for the sprint#

MilestoneShare
Kickoff (order placed)40%
Live demo in week 340%
Handover/acceptance20%

Payment terms 14 days, then default interest under § 288 BGB. On early termination the delivered work is invoiced (at least 40%); delays caused by you move dates in writing.

Maintenance & operations#

After a sprint, I can take over operation and maintenance on request:

  • hosting and TLS renewal
  • dependency and security updates
  • monitoring and backup verification
  • up to 4 hours of small changes per month
  • a written monthly status

€240/month, cancellable monthly. Larger changes run through the build-out or a new fixed price. No obligation: many clients run their software with their own IT — the code is yours, and the documentation is written for exactly that.

Comparison with the market#

A Munich agency typically quotes a considerably higher budget and four to six months of planning for the same functionality. The reason for my price is not a discount but structure: one developer instead of a team, fixed scope instead of an open end, an established stack instead of experiments.

For context: MVP specialists on the market quote €10,000–30,000 fixed for comparable work. The prototype sprint sits below that at €4,800 because it concentrates on one core process and the handover moment is fixed at four weeks.

To be honest#

The sprint is not a subscription and not the entry into a support relationship you can't leave. After the handover you decide in your own time: build-out, maintenance, your own operation — or done. The first call is free and ends with an honest yes or no.

Frequently asked questions about prices#

Why no hourly rate?
Because the hourly rate makes your risk my calendar's problem: with hourly billing you carry the risk of poor planning. With a fixed price I carry it — the price is set before we start, and if my estimate was wrong, that is my problem. To answer the question directly: I work exclusively with fixed scope and fixed price. If the budget doesn't cover a sprint, I will tell you openly.
Why is the sprint €4,800 when an agency quotes €25,000?
Because you talk to one person with 20 years of stack who works four weeks with focus — not to a project team whose coordination and overhead are priced in. The difference is structure, not the hourly rate.
What happens when more work shows up on your side?
If your feedback or missing inputs stretch the schedule, we move dates in writing — the fixed price for the agreed scope stays. Real extra work runs through the change order before it is done.
Can we pay in instalments?
The payment plan is the instalment plan: 40/40/20 across the four weeks. Beyond that there is no further spreading — the total price is low enough that most projects can be paid from cash flow.
Are there discounts?
No. There is a smaller scope at list price and — once per client — a documented entry price of at most −10% for the first sprint. Anything else would be double bookkeeping at your expense.
